Scent Name: Knockout Drops

Manufacturer:  Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab – Monster Bait: Coulrophobia (Limited Edition)

Scent Description and Notes: Bourbon vanilla, white mint, and white chocolate with a squirt of lemon meringue and a dribble of absinthe.

Oil Color:  A faintly yellowed crystal color.

Bottle Design and Artwork:  This is a standard vial / imp size (1/32 oz).  I received this from a forumite, so it features a self-created lable.  This one features a large, lab-sized label with text on the front, back, and spine.  On the front, the title of the scent and  the collection frame an image of a sad clown in black and white with a pointed hat (imagery that was on the bottle version).  The spine features the name of the decanter, ralenth. The back displays italic black font detailing the scent notes.

  • In the Imp (ITI): I get vanilla, mint, and sugary lemon on first sniff.  It’s foody, but I like it.
  • Wet: On my skin, absinthe and lemon become dominant.  There is a light sweetness thanks to the vanilla and perhaps the smallest hint of mint.
  • Dry: When it’s dry, the scent exists as a combination of absinthe and the faintest hints of vanilla and mint.
Other Impressions: Orange and spice; it’s alright so says my husband.
