This one has been on my wishlist for a little while as I want to try all the Alice in Wonderland-inspired scents.
Scent Name: Tweedledum
Manufacturer: Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab – Mad Tea Party
Scent Description and Notes: “Tweedledum and Tweedledee Agreed to have a battle! For Tweedledum said Tweedledee Had spoiled his nice new rattle. Just then flew down a monstrous crow, As black as a tar-barrel! Which frightened both the heroes so, They quite forgot their quarrel.’ Absurd! Green mango, fig, patchouli and green tea.” -BPAL
Oil Color: a translucent pale yellow, but as close to clear while still being recognizable as yellow.
Bottle Design and Artwork: This is a standard vial / imp size (1/32 oz). The label wrapped around the bottle features an Art-Deco inspired Phoenix with the the name of the company at the bottle of the image. On the other side, the title of the scent written in large, clear black font outlined with red on the front.
- In the Imp (ITI): Mango is the first significant note that reveals itself as I sniff. The ester is a little overwhelming, but the tea seems to try to calm it down. There is just a touch of warmness underneath, which may be from the fig.
- Wet: Strong mango with earthy fig. I can’t smell much of the tea now. It’s an odd scent.
- Dry: Figgy mango. What a strange scent.
Other Impressions: I received a compliment from another teacher about the way this one smelled. She asked the name and chuckled when I told here. It smells like mango and ginger according to my husband.
