When the Moths and Butterflies update when llive, there were a few scents that I wanted to try to see if a bottle should be had. I adore cilantro and lemon peel, so I’m curious to see how this one works out.
Scent Name: Sphaeromachia Gaumeri
Manufacturer: Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab – Metamorphosis: 5/3-9/4/12
Scent Description and Notes: “Iris, iced lemon peel, anise seed, red current, coriander, cilantro, and white musk. ” -BPAL
Oil Color: Entirely clear and colorless.
Bottle Design and Artwork: This is a standard vial / imp size (1/32 oz). This is a decant from Catseyes, who tries to match the bottle art to the art she provides on the imp. On the back, she has the notes of the scent the company name, and the date. The front features the name of the scent with an image matching the bottle art, which is the scent’s namesaked moth.
- ITI: Lemon peel icing, cilantro, and coriander. It’s unique and intriguing.
- Wet: Yes, it’s clearly icing that is super heavy on lemon peel. This is followed closely by the coriander, and just a touch of musk. As it dries, it reminds me of those hard lemon candies in a spice shop. Yummy!
- Dry: The dry down is sweet, like lemon pastry with some musk and coriander. I don’t get much cilantro or anise seed, although there might be a little currant. I like it.
Other Impressions:It smells like tasty tea according to my husband.
