Scent Name: The Hamptons
Manufacturer: Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab – Wanderlust
Scent Description and Notes: “Diese Tage, die leer dir scheinen
und wertlos für das All,
haben Wurzeln zwischen den Steinen
und trinken dort überall.
But nothing’s lost. Or else: all is translation
And every bit of us is lost in it
(Or found–I wander through the ruin of S
Now and then, wondering at the peacefulness)
And in that loss a self-effacing tree,
Color of context, imperceptibly
Rustling with its angel, turns the waste
To shade and fiber, milk and memory.
The scent of a Cosmopolitan cocktail.. ” -BPAL
Oil Color: Faintly tinged yellow oil – nearly undetectable color when held up, but against white, there is faint color.
Bottle Design and Artwork: This is a standard vial / imp size (1/32 oz). The label wrapped around the bottle features an Art-Deco inspired Phoenix with the the name of the company at the bottle of the image. On the other side, the title of the scent written in large, clear black font outlined with red on the front.
- ITI: It smells like vodka, cranberry, and lime. Yep, that’s a Cosmopolitan. I’m a little worried about wearing this scent to work as I work with students.
- Wet: The lime and cranberry are still present, but the boozey quality of the vodka is overpowering.
- Dry: The boozey quality ends up drying down to a powder with hints of lime.
Other Impressions:Some kind of heady perfume and ammonia. My husband says it’s good and not at the same time. Brad claims it’s fruity and woody (ash).
