Scent Name: Alice
Manufacturer: Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab –Mad Tea Party
Scent Description and Notes: “Curiouser and curiouser. Milk and honey with rose, carnation and bergamot.“ -BPAL
Oil Color: Nearly clear with the fainest yellow tinge.
Bottle Design and Artwork: This is a standard vial / imp size (1/32 oz). The label wrapped around the bottle features an Art-Deco inspired Phoenix with the name of the company at the bottle of the image. On the other side, the title of the scent written in large, clear black font outlined with red on the front.
- In the Imp (ITI): It’s very light. I get Earl Grey tea splashed with milk and a touch of honey. There is the faintest hint of bergamot underneath it all.
- Wet: More bergamot, carnation, tea, and milk. It’s a rather civilized scent. It does remind me of an English circle circa 1900 drinking tea in a garden.
- Dry: The bergamot paired with the milk and tea is slightly powdery, but in a comforting way. The carnation and faint rose provide a subtle backdrop against which the slightly stronger notes rest.
Other Impressions: “Powder and some kind of flower. Carnation is it. It’s not bad, actually.” -Tony
