Ah, my favorite character from Alice and Wonderland.  It better work.

Scent Name:  Cheshire Cat

Manufacturer:  Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab –Mad Tea Party

Scent Description and Notes: Grapefruit, red currant, dark musk, Roman chamomile, delphinium, and lavender.” – BPAL

Oil Color: Mine is old enough to have some separation – a marigold participate on bottom, a light, hazy oil color on top.

Bottle Design and Artwork:  This is a standard vial / imp size (1/32 oz).  The label wrapped around the bottle features an Art-Deco inspired clockwork structure with the the name of the company at the bottle of the image. On the other side, the title of the scent written in large, clear black font outlined with red on the front.

  • In the Imp (ITI): Delicious and lightly sweetened grapefruit with just a touch of red currant.
  • Wet:  Grapefruit with a touch of rind, some delphinium and chamomile  and musk round out the scent.  It’s pretty, but I liked the sweeter aspect in the bottle.
  • Dry: The astringent aspect of the rind is gone, leaving me with lovely grapefruit tinged in musky sweetness, paired with red currant and soothing chamomile.  Love it!
Other Impressions: This is a scent that will go on my “To Buy” list.  It’s fresh enough for spring and summer, but complex enough for fall.
