Scent Name:  Common Jezebel

Manufacturer: Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab – Metamorphosis: The Butterflies (5/26/10-8/26/10)

Scent Description and Notes: “Apricot, lemon sugar, coconut, red currant, and vetiver.” -BPAL

Oil Color: It looks like a honey-infused orange tea.

Bottle Design and Artwork: This is a standard vial / imp size (1/32 oz). This is a decant from ralenth, who tries to match the bottle art to the art she provides on the imp.  On the back, she has the notes of the scent and the spine features her decanting name. The front features the name of the scent with an image matching the bottle art, which is the scent’s namesaked butterfly.

  • ITI:  Of, this is refreshingly pleasant with its lemon sugar, currant, and apricot.
  • Wet: Wow, the apricot here is such a lush, delicious note.  When I inhale deeper, the lemon sugar and the vetiver become apparent, followed by the currant as it dries.  It’s lovely.
  • Dry:  It’s become more complex with the apricot and currant both vying for the top note. The vetiver adds considerable depth and the lemon sugar keeps the scent from doing too dark.  This is simply brilliant and I think I need to find a bottle of this.

Other Impressions: At first he thought the perfume was my freshly painted nails and was completely repulsed, but I quickly redirected him.  “It smells like fabric softener, but in a good way.”- Tony
