Scent Name:  Krampus

Manufacturer: Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab –  Yule 2012

Scent Description and Notes: “Anything BUT jolly! Draped with chains and bells, wielding both whip and rod, this rag-clad, horned, red-skinned, soot-covered leering creature is both the companion and the antithesis of rosy-cheeked and ebullient Kris Kringle. He is called by many names, and, in a myriad of cultures, he is seen with different robes and faces, but he is nevertheless always a sinister and fearsome instrument of Santa’s wrath: he wields a switch on all irredeemably naughty children before tossing them into his large black sack and whisking them away.

Be good, or Krampus will toss you in a river! Sinister red musk, black leather, dusty rags, and wooden switches.” -BPAL

Oil Color:  A dark pitch with hints of red.

Bottle Design and Artwork: This is a standard vial / imp size (1/32 oz). This is a decant from Absinthetics.  On the back, she has the notes of the scent, the title of the scent in orange, the company acronym in bold, and her decanting information. The front has a picture of the title of the collection in gradated white-red-black font against a green and black strip background.  The name of the company in in white block letters at the bottom of the image.

  • ITI:  I get very worn black leather and wood..perhaps a little musk as well.
  • Wet: I get wood, dusty rags for sure, and worn, musky leather.  Oddly enough, it smells rather grumpy, but in an enticing way.
  • Dry:  Spicy musk, worn leather, and just a little bit of wood.

Other Impressions: “Lemon candy and some kind of flower, but I can’t figure out what.” -Tony.  I’m not sure where he got lemon candy, but so be it.
