Scent Name: Badgers

Manufacturer: Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab –  Event Exclusive:  NYCC: The Gentleman’s Directory: New York City in 1870

Scent Description and Notes: “As a general fact, these girls are smart, good-looking, well educated and are near, and prepossessing in appearance. This is especially the case with those who are called “Badgers,” but more widely known as panel thieves. These plunderers have had full swing, of late, and have robbed many an unsuspecting stranger of his all.

Sweet patchouli, soft, honeyed leather, sassy sarsaparilla, honeysuckle, and French vanilla.” -BPAL

Oil Color:  A rich honeyed oil.

Bottle Design and Artwork: This is a standard vial / imp size (1/32 oz). This is a decant from Absinthetics.  On the back, she has the notes of the scent, the title of the scent in orange, the company acronym in bold, and her decanting information. The image is of four 19th century women dressed in their finest clothing and gathered around a table.

  • ITI:  It’s soft while being slightly naughty from the honeysuckle  French vanilla, patchouli, and sarsaparilla.
  • Wet:  It has this interesting green and papery smell to it, but the French vanilla, patchouli, honeysuckle  and sarsaparilla are still very similar to the imp.
  • Dry:  As it dries, the leather begins to peak out of the papery and slightly green foreground.  It is a soft, supple leather and intertwines beautifully with the patchouli.  It gets sweeter and more patchouli-centric after a few hours.  There is an impression of leather, but not much else.

Other Impressions:I wish I had procured a bottle of this.
