Eep!  I’m worried about that ginger on my skin, but I do love balsam, sarsaparilla, and nutmeg, so perhaps it will all balance out.

Scent Name:  Gnome

Manufacturer: Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab – RPG

Scent Description and Notes: “An explosive blend of effervescent golden ginger and black peppercorn with sarsaparilla, gurjum balsam, nutmeg, gear lubricant, and smoke. -BPAL

Oil Color: A yellow tinted, nearly colorless oil

Bottle Design and Artwork: This is a standard vial / imp size (1/32 oz). The label wrapped around the bottle features an Art-Deco inspired Phoenix with the the name of the company at the right-hand side of the label. The other side is a bit different since this is an imp specifically from a special collection.  It features the name of the series in an interesting, pointed font, with the name of the scent in larger, bolded font outlined in red.

  • In the Imp (ITI):  I get sharp ginger, smoke, and sarsaparilla  with something that is a little citrus-like.
  • Wet: Wet and spicy, like ginger in a rainforest.  There’s some effervescent qualities to this scent.  The sarsaparilla and ginger to transform to a quality ginger beer amalgamation.
  • Dry: Powdered ginger with peppercorn, light sarsaparilla, and a touch of smoke.  It’s a bit darker than I had anticipated it would dry down to.

Other Impressions: “It smells like dish soap…like Dawn, the antibacterial dish soap. Sorry.” -Tony
