Scent Name: Lune Noire

Scent Description and Notes: “The encroaching darkness: black orchid, jonquil, white pear, white amber, gardenia, olibanum, champaca, sweet clove, tonka, oakmoss, and blue musk. – BPAL

Oil Color: – I cannot tell the color of the oil by looking into the brown apothecary bottle.

Bottle Design and Artwork:  This is a 5ml standard brown apothecary bottle.  The label extends just under halfway around the bottom.  The label features the name of the company along the bottom in thin, white block font along with the collection in the same font at the top of the label.  The scent name is in Art Deco-stylized font in white. The image on a black background is a floral outline of what looks like ginkgo leaves to be and a thick, white image of a scarab off to the side.

  • ITB:   I get something like cherry ricola with a bit of orchid or jonquil behind it. On initial sniff, it is interesting, but the longer I sniff at it ITB, the more it makes me dizzy (and not in a positive way).
  • Wet:  Yum – pear, gardenia, orchid and a bit of the oakmoss behind it. No cherries at all! This smells so different on my skin and I’m very happy about that!
  • Dry: The gardenia and pear are about equal, and the orchid comes in a soft 3rd. I get just a touch of champaca laced with oakmoss, but I must be very close to get those notes. It’s nice – sweetly dark and somewhat exotic.
