Scent Name: Peter Quint
Manufacturer: Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab – Yule 2012: The Turn of the Screw
Scent Description and Notes: “Leather, balsam, ambergris, and bay laurel.“ -BPAL
Oil Color: – I cannot tell the color of the oil by looking into the brown apothecary bottle.
Bottle Design and Artwork: This is a 5ml standard brown apothecary bottle. The label extends just under halfway around the bottom. The label features the name of the company in thin beige font along the bottom and slightly larger and thicker font along the top for the scent name. Both of these items frame the brown/sepia-toned image of a man with a think mustache facing forward.
- ITB: It’s faint, but I get leather and ambergris. That combination is almost comforting, which is odd.
- Wet: The bay laurel is stronger here, to the extent that I can’t smell the other notes. The scent itself doesn’t have a great deal of throw at all.
- Dry: Now that is has dried, the balsam is the top note, then leather, which is fabulous with the rein. Finally, there is a little dryness caused by the bay laurel at the end. It would smell lovely on a man.
