Manufacturer:  Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab –  Phoenix Steamworks & Research Facility

Scent Description and Notes: “Pinpoints of red light beaming from its eyes scan the room, and in a flutter of leather wings, it scuttles across the wooden floorboards.

Polished metallic notes, glossy leather, frankincense, star anise, and thin lubricating oils. -BPAL

Oil Color: – I cannot tell the color of the oil by looking into the brown apothecary bottle.

Bottle Design and Artwork:  This is a 5ml standard brown apothecary bottle.  The label extends just under halfway around the bottom.  The label features the name of the company in dark brown font along the bottom of the label.  The scent name is in cool ombre metallic-looking font and is centered left of the image of  a beautifully crafted copper or bronze robotic scarab.

  • ITB: Oils fragrant with frankincense and star anise please my nose.  There is something faintly metallic to it, but the resins are dominant here.
  • Wet:  Resinous leather massaged with oil and a little copper, then topped with star anise.  Oh, this is gorgeous!
  • Dry:  After about 7 hours, the scent is primarily frankincense, star anise, and just a touch of metal.  I’ve really enjoyed wearing it today.
Other Impressions: None.
