Scent Name:  Lamia

Manufacturer: Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab – Neil Gaiman: Neverwhere

Scent Description and Notes: “LAMIA
‘And you said you’d pay me for being your guide. And it’s what I want, as my payment. Warmth. Can I have some?’ Anything she wanted. Anything. The honeysuckle and the lily of the valley wrapped around him, and his eyes saw nothing but her pale skin and her dark plum-bloom lips and her jet black hair.

Deadly elegance: pale orchid, vanilla amber, black currant, white peach, champaca, coconut, Arabian myrrh, Burmese vetiver, and oude. -BPAL

Oil Color: I cannot tell due to the brown apothecary bottle.

Bottle Design and Artwork: This is a 5ml standard brown apothecary bottle.  The label extends just under halfway around the bottom.  The label features the name of the company name and collection in white block font in a black text field along the bottom of the image.  The scent name is just above center, aligned to the left in larger white block font.  The image is Lamia dressed in all black seemingly blowing out a trail of smoke.

  • ITB:  It’s sweetly dark and complex, but not threateningly so – coconut, vanilla amber, champaca, and a touch of vetiver.
  • Wet: It’s sweet, resinous (slightly), and a bit  floral.  I’m getting coconut, champaca, orchid, vetiver, a dash of peach, some currant, and something else that is a little green.
  • Dry: It’s more floral once dried from the orchid, but it’s tempered by the champaca, coconut, peach, and now oude.  Very nice!

Other Impressions: None.
