Scent Description and Notes: “All mystique and thrumming power: gurjum balsam, Sumatran dragon’s blood resin, olibanum, galangal, oleo gum resin, and frankincense.“ -BPAL
Oil Color: I cannot tell from the brown apothecary bottle.
Bottle Design and Artwork: This is a 5ml standard brown apothecary bottle. The label extends just under halfway around the bottom. The label features the name of the collection name in black wide-spaced font along the top in a pea-green text field. The name of the company is at the bottom of the image in white block font. The name of the scent located near the top in white font with the company symbol below it. The image is of a robed female mage holding her staff up, from which streams of yellow magic emerge, all of which is set against a green background.
- ITB: What a lovely and deeply brooding set of resins. The frankincense, olibanum, balsam, and oleo gum resin are distinctive and prominent, although the dragon’s blood resin functions nicely in the background to add some depth.
- Wet: The dragon’s blood is almost bubble gum-y in quality on my skin for some reason, but the other resins keep it from being too sweet. I’m still loving the woodsy balsam and frankincense here.
- Dry: After 12 hours, it’s lightly resinous – frankincense and olibanum with a faint hint of dragon’s blood resin. Lovely!
Other Impressions: None.
