Scent Name: Snakes in the Pumpkin Patch
Manufacturer: Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab – Halloweenie: Pumpkin Patch 2013
Scent Description and Notes: “There’s all manner of shenanigans in this year’s pumpkin patch! Pumpkin’ized hybrids of GC BPAL scents abound!“ -BPAL
Oil Color: I cannot tell from the brown apothecary bottle.
Bottle Design and Artwork: This is a standard 5ml brown apothecary bottle. The label features an 1940’s looking image of a young red-headed girl dressed as a witch gazing at something while a younger girl in a clown costume, holding a jack-o-lantern, looks on. The title of the collection is in small white block font near the top of the image, which is similar to the font characterizing the company name at the bottom of the image. Just above the company name is the title of the scent, Snakes in dark red font and the phase “in the pumpkin patch” in white block font. The bottle simply features the name of the company in white block font at the bottom of the image.
- ITB: Pumpkin, spices, a touch of breadiness, and Indonesian oils steeped in vanilla slithering subtle beneath.
- Wet: The Indonesian oils are much stronger on my skin. It makes the pumpkin take on a slightly heady tone, although there still is a foody quality to this, especially with Snake Oil’s sugared vanilla.
- Dry: Light pumpkin with a touch of smoked vanilla and slightly heady Indonesian oils. It’s really nice once settled. It reminds me of freshly extinguished incense.
Other Impressions: “Like butter and bakery.” -Tony
