Scent Name: Alice, The Reaper of Cruelty
Manufacturer: Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab – Pretty Deadly
Scent Description and Notes: “Bourbon geranium emboldened by the rich scent of aged patchouli, the sweetness of peach, raspberry leaf, and bourbon vanilla, surrounded by a butterfly swarm of spicy carnation and Italian bergamot.“ -blackphoenixalchemylab.com
Oil Color: A light lime-tinged barley-colored oil.
Bottle Design and Artwork: This is a standard vial / imp size (1/32 oz). This is a decant from Absinthetics. On the back, she has the notes of the scent, the name of the scent in orange bold font, and her decanting information in green. The font of the label features the bottle artwork below:
- ITI: In the imp, it reminds me of coriander and celery, or more geographically, the halfway point between the produce and the spice section of my PCC market. I was expecting something a bit more wild.
- Wet: It’s still oddly dry and spiced, which I think is a combination of the carnation, raspberry leaf, bergamot, aged patchouli, and bourbon. I’m also picking on on very, very faint sweetness, like unsweetened peach tea in the background.
- Dry: Now that it has dried, Alice takes on a lovely lightly sweet, floral tone from the geranium and stronger peach notes along side the bourbon vanilla, raspberry leaf and bergamot. Most of the other notes have faded, leaving something rather beautiful behind.
Other Impressions: “Strawberries, raspberries, a little bit of cream, and a little bit of amber.” -Tony
