Bottle Design and Artwork: This is a 5ml standard brown apothecary bottle. The label extends just under halfway around the bottom. The background is a straight black with no image underneath. The name of the sub-collection and the company are in slender white font along the top and bottle of the image. Just above the company name along the bottom is the full collection information in slightly Gothic-inspired font in a light petal pink. The name of the scent is in the center of the label in larger Gothic-inspired font in a bright cherry red color.
- ITB: I bought a bottle of this one because it had every single note that I really adore wrapped up in a single scent. I anticipate that it will be warm and indolently resinous. Oh, yes, “Diamond Star”‘s ambergris and myrrh envelope me like a warm down blanket on a chilly evening while benzoin and fragrant guiac wood waft gentle in the background, sweetening the scent with a heady woodsiness that makes the scent all the more soothing to me. I’d like to douse myself in this and spend an evening reading literature with a cup of cocoa, nestled by a fire. Too bad it’s nearly 80 outside.
- Wet: Gosh, that’s heady and resinous heaven – the ambergris is deliciously musky with tinges of gentle floral (immortelle), suffused with exquisite myrrh, wafting benzoin, and polished guiac wood. Awesome!
- Dry: Despite the hot and humid weather here, this scent has stuck around for nearly 12 hours, still has some through, and is still an absolutely sweet, musky, resinous, and indolent combination of ambergris, myrrh, wood, and benzoin. I strongly recommend this scent if you enjoy resinous scents. This is just gorgeous!
Other Impressions: None.
