Scent Name: Kit
Manufacturer: Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab – Only Lovers Left Alive
Scent Description and Notes: “Immersed in his (eternal) life’s work, holding on to his memories, suffused with a love of life and literature, Kit’s scent is soft and dry as bone: Mysore sandalwood a tattered and patched 16th century waistcoat, inkstained, still scented with the marjoram and benzoin dry perfumes of his youth.“ -http://blackphoenixalchemylab.com/product-category/only-lovers-left-alive/
Oil Color: I’m surprised to see the oil separated already like a cat’s eye marble of almond and ale.
Bottle Design and Artwork: This is a standard vial / imp size (1/32 oz). This is a decant from ralenth. On the back, she has the notes of the scent, the side features her decanting information, and the front features the company acronym, the title of the scent, the collection, and the date, along with a scent-appropriate image. The label art for the bottle is below:
- ITI: Soothing and gentle floral perfume, dusky with age; laced tinged with sandalwood residue and clearly discernible ink blots.
- Wet: A deep brown headiness infused by the dusky, powdery, sumptuous fabrics aged with time, lightly spiced and perfumed with marjoram at the very end as I finish my inhalation.
- Dry: The perfume notes does develop some significant throw, and the waistcoat and ink notes become a bit more assertive, but the scent istself isn’t a morpher, at least for me. It’s nice, but a bit strong on my skin.
Other Impressions: “It’s like orange bitters and pipe tobacco.” -Tony
