Scent Name: Vampire Lace

Manufacturer: Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab – Retail Exclusive: Dark Delicacies

Scent Description and Notes: The civilized, sweet restraint of lily-white sugared vanilla silk gleaming with a glimpse of fang-white musk, smeared with wanton red musk seed, tobacco, red agarwood, and ritual benzoin, and blackened with a depraved miasma of clove husk, drooping oakmoss, black leather, and balsam.  Limited to 150.” –

Oil Color: An orangish oil on my skin.

Bottle Design and Artwork:  This is a 5ml standard brown apothecary bottle.  The label extends just under halfway around the bottom.  The label features the name of the company along the bottom in reddish orange block font haloed in white; above the image is the retailer for which it was made in the same font.  The scent name is in larger red block font shadowed in black, located above the company name.  The image on the bottle is as follows on the left:

  • ITB: A red swirl of gauzy musk seed and resins, wanton yet delicate, meets my nose immediately, followed by threads of clove husk, benzoin, and the glimmer of white floral nearly obscured under the heavier, darker notes.
  • Wet:  It’s close to what I detected in the bottle when applied to my skin, although the musk seed and lily are stronger next to the leather that is faintly discernible. It’s sultry, aggressive, and powerful.  Interesting.
  • Dry: After 4 hours, the scent reduces down to a seductive musky fog of red musk seed, benzoin, a wisp of leather and tobacco, a sliver of white floral, and something that reminds me of oudh.
Other Impressions: None.
