Manufacturer: Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab – Lupercalia 2019:

Scent Description and Notes: “A perfume to prevent backflow of blood into your heart: husky aged patchouli, scorched oppoponax, agarwood, olibanum, black oakmoss, and chaparral.” -https://blackphoenixalchemylab.com/shop/winter-collection/lupercalia-2019/the-hearthstone-and-the-heat/tricuspid-valve-perfume-oil/

Oil Color: Energy drink yellow.

Bottle Design and Artwork: This is a standard 1/32 ml imp that has been decanted for me by Absinthetics. Her label features the scent notes on the back along with her decanting information and the scent name. The label art image is as follows:

  • ITI: Sharp, almost screeching scored oppoponax is so darkened it reminds me of black oudh or something inky, followed by patchouli and a lighter wood note in the background.  Nothing is really able to tamp down that scorched note so far.
  • Wet: Inky oppoponax and patchouli that reminds me of decomposing plant matter near the roots of trees in a forest, embroidered with threads of oakmoss and woody sinews.
  • Dry: It remains much of it’s scorched oppoponax self with subtle tones of wood.  The longevity is great for this one, but it strikes too close to black oudh for me to love it.

Other Impressions: None.
