Oil Color: Faintly yellow on my skin.

Bottle Design and Artwork: This is a standard brown apothecary bottle.  The label wrapped around the bottle features the name of the scent in bolded leaf green block font just above the company name, which is in a smaller version of the a shadowed white version of the name’s font.  The label is a shunga woodblock print of both Japanese and Caucasian officials engaging in various stages of sexual gratification.

  • ITB: That’s really interesting.  It smells like black currant tea leaves, previously steeped, mixed with a gentle British black tea base.  I’m not picking up on a whole lot of spice or sweetness, but I’d love to have an actual tea in this scent. Super soothing.
  • Wet: Ah, there’s the spice.  Spicy clove gently mingles with the blackberry currant and black teas to create something both exotic but also softly refined. The clove warms as it sits, shifting the scent slightly, but it’s still wonderful. There’s a hint of tonka underneath it all, like a gentle breeze wafting through.  It has the same scent tone as The Body Shop’s Dewberry scent, but it’s much softer, spicier, and elegant.
  • Dry: Soft clove and liminal black and black currant tea.  I’m not getting much else, but that is left after 8 hours is gentle and appealing.

Other Impressions: *Sniffs hand and then abruptly rubs it on his beard* “I want to see what that smells like one me.  I really like it!  It’s a clean, pleasant smell.  Yeah, it’s a let’s get stuff done smell to me, but I don’t know why.  It’s really nice. There’s a lot going on, but it smells harmonious. It smells like what a spring field would smell like at a business meeting.” -Tony
