Bottle Design and Artwork: This is a standard 1/32 ml imp that has been decanted for me by Absinthetics. Her label features the scent notes on the back along with her decanting information and the scent name. The label art is a shunga woodblock print of a partially kimono-clad woman practicing her calligraphy on her male partner, also partially clad, who is holding her ink box.

  • ITI:  Dark, drying roses atop dry white moss. I’m not getting much ink, but there is something that smells like dried lemon rind just under the rose note.
  • Wet: That’s unexpected.  Where did the rose go? What I’m getting now is white most and a hint of dried lemon peel, but as I write this, the reddish rose note begins to bloom over top a hint of ink. Together, the scent is feminine, poised, and elegant.  It reminds me of something Daisy from The Great Gatsby would wear.
  • Dry:  Twelve hours later, it smells like dried rose petals with a subtle inky hue.

Other Impressions: None.
