Bottle Design and Artwork: This is a standard 1/32 ml imp that has been decanted for me by Absinthetics. Her label features the scent notes on the back along with her decanting information and the scent name. The label art is a shunga woodblock print of a woman copulating with and kissing the God of Thunder atop a dark thunder cloud.

  • ITI:  Smoky, deep and earthy, perfumed with cardamom and infernal musk. The leather is woven through the heart of this scent, adding a touch of imperious masculinity to the deep, almost woody resins.
  • Wet: That cardamom note is do rich and lovely against the fiery red musk (dragon’s blood red musk almost) and the lusciously loamy patchouli. The leather intensifies the vetiver, heightening the round power of this scent. The leather surges forth, rivaling the cardamom and red musk after sitting for just a few minutes.  It reminds me of BPAL’s The Hell of Great Heat and De Sade layered together.
  • Dry:  Smoldering red musk atop light cardamom with hints of worn leather and patchouli.  It’s wearing much closer to the skin without a whole lot of throw after three hours.

Other Impressions: “Patchouli kumquat.” After 5 minutes: “That’s way more complex.  I’m getting tobacco and amber?” -Tony
