Scent Name: Masquerade Banana
Manufacturer: Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab – The Singularity
Scent Description and Notes: “Banana, but glamorous and mysterious, I guess? – banana with wild fig, sweet vetiver, myrrh, cassis, and a swoosh of incense.“ -https://blackphoenixalchemylab.com/shop/spring-collection/the-singularity/masquerade-banana-perfume-oil/
Oil Color: The color of an intense white wine.
Bottle Design and Artwork: This is a standard 1/32 ml imp that has been decanted for me by Absinthetics. Her label features the scent notes on the back along with her decanting information and the scent name. The label art is as follows on the front:
- ITI: Oh, that is *expletive* banana! On second sniff, I can pick out the fig and vetiver laced with incense under the banana, but woof, that banana is intense.
- Wet: Cassis, banana, sweet vetiver incense trumpet forth while myrrh slowly undulates along the base, subtle and inviting. The banana isn’t nearly as oppressive on my, thankfully.
- Dry: This tones down considerably after a few hours. Only 6 hours later, I’m left with a soft fig and faint banana myrrh with a hint of vetiver. While I’m not one to ever normally reach for anything banana scented, I actually appreciate the masquerade of this scent.
Other Impressions: None.
