Scent Name: Visions of Autumn VI

Manufacturer: Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab – Halloweenie 2014: Visions of Autumn

Scent Description and Notes: Oakmoss, lavender absolute, petitgrain, rockrose, white patchouli, and sage.” -BPAL.org

Oil Color:  A ripening gourd colored oil.

Bottle Design and Artwork: This is a standard 1/32 ml imp that has been decanted for me by Ralenth. Her label features her decanting information, collection name, date, and the scent name on the front.  The back of her label features the scent notes. The image art that was on the bottle is similar to this one below, but features the correct Roman numeral for the name.

  • ITI: I’m a little nervous about this one since I found that I have trouble with petitgrain once it’s on my skin.  In the imp, I’m getting strong, sinus-clearing lavender absolute over sage and oakmoss.  There’s a sense of patchouli in the background, but only enough to give the scent a hazy incense-like background.
  • Wet: It’s almost pure lavender absolute on my skin after initial application. After 30 seconds, there’s a bit more roundness to it from the sage and very faint rockrose, but it’s still mostly lavender. Very herbal.
  • Dry: This doesn’t have the longevity of the more resinous blends, but what is left after 6 hours is a subtle lavender and rockrose haze with a hint of golden grains.

Other Impressions: None.
