Scent Name: Phallus Parade

Manufacturer:  Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab –  Lupercalia 2016: Shunga – Novel Ideas for Secret Amusements

Scent Description and Notes:Leather and black tea with champa blossom, incense, ambrette seed, and black truffle accord.” -BPAL.org

Oil Color: A soft white wine color.

Bottle Design and Artwork: This is a standard 1/32 ml imp that has been decanted for me by Absinthetics. Her label features the scent notes on the back along with her decanting information and the scent name. The label art is a woodblock print of a number of yokai on a night parade, but with phalli.

  • ITI: That’s much softer and smoother than anticipated.  Beautiful champa blossom mixed with ambrette seed yields images of soft florals gently warmed in the late afternoon sun infused with gentle spiced tea incense and a sweetly pleasing earthiness. The leather note is light and intermittent, hard to pin down under the lovely exotic and floral notes.
  • Wet: Oh yes, that really is pretty.  Plumeria and fragrant black tea are perfume with alluring incense,  ambrette seed, and a soft earthy muskiness. The ambrette seed or the black tea is coming as slightly anise-like, but I think it adds to the loveliness of the scent. I’m not getting much leather on my skin at this point, but I’m not too upset about that.
  • Dry: After 4 hours, the scent has faded significantly, but what is left very close to the skin is an earthy but faded tea musk with a lining of ghostly incense. Very fitting for a night parade.

Other Impressions: None.
