I found a small hoard from this release, so their time is now.

Scent Name: The Red Robe

Manufacturer:  Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab –  The Fool’s Journey: The Emperor – Aspects of the Emperor

Scent Description and Notes: “Absolute power in the temporal world: red musk and leather streaked with tomato leaf and tobacco.” -https://blackphoenixalchemylab.com/shop/in-memoriam/limited-edition-in-memoriam/the-fools-journey/the-emperor/aspects-of-the-emperor/the-red-robes/

Oil Color: The color of polished walnut wood.

Bottle Design and Artwork: This is a standard 1/32 ml imp that has been decanted for me by Absinthetics. Her label features the scent notes on the back along with her decanting information and the scent name. The image art is as follows:

  • ITI: It’s lighter than I anticipated, honestly.  I get red musk that quickly gives way to stiff black leather brushed with tomato leaf.  I’m not picking up tobacco distinctly other than a pleasant sweetness mingled with the musk.
  • Wet: This stays very close to the skin save for subdued tomato leaf immediately after application. 10-15 seconds in, the slightly sharp and cautiously assertive red musk warms, but I can’t seem to find the leather at all.
  • Dry: Faded leather and red musk, very much evocative of an emperor’s robe, have softly settled on my skin.  I don’t think it will last much beyond the 7 hour mark, but it’s pleasant at the 6.

Other Impressions: None.
