Scent Name: Bad Wolf
Manufacturer: Alchemic Muse – Autumn Collection
Scent Description and Notes: “A basket of freshly-picked berries and sweet cream fused with a shady forest brew of mahogany, apple wood, and blood cedar to round out the darker, more sensuous base of patchouli, tonka bean, oakmoss, and vanilla bourbon. All the better to eat you with, my dear…” -https://www.alchemicmuse.com/products/bad-wolf-perfume-oil
Oil Color: Colorless.
Bottle Design and Artwork: This is a standard vial / imp size (1/32 oz). The label is printed on a nice quality sticker paper that has an aged blue color and what is supposed to mimic aged, slightly burned pages around the edge. The Label features the name of the company in stylized script at the top, underneath which is the designation of products made. Below that is a Baroque mantle piece of art that frames the name of the scent, which is in bold Gothic stylized font. Below that is the phrase “perfume oil sample” in lighter and smaller font.
Scent:
- ITI: Ohh! The berries here are jewel-toned and candied with a dash of vanilla mahogany and a touch of cream.
- Wet: There is a sense of sweet berries and apples ripening with the coming fall interspersed through woody forests and a touch of vanilla tonka softening the edges. For some reason, I was thinking Dr. Who, but this does evoke Little Red Riding Hood (although I wish there was some black musk and leather thrown in.
- Dry: After about 20 minutes, Bad Wolf starts to smell like cranberry wax melts with a touch of wood and a festive spiced creamy roundness at the very, very back of the scent. After 4 hours, I’m getting buttery clotted cream flecked with soft, warmed berries.
Other Impressions: [Wet] “Berry milk boba.” -Tony
