Scent Name: White Larry
Manufacturer: Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab – Activism
Scent Description and Notes: “Honestly, I don’t even know how this started. It’s an old joke between me and my friend Jennifer Larochelle. Some time after the VVitch came out, we decided that there’s this goat… White Larry… that is Black Phillip’s embarrassing cousin. Every family has got one; that one relative that just isn’t quite diabolical enough, the one that makes Sabbats just kinda awkward.
This is the scent of a not-quite-Satanic goat – though he tries! – who does like the taste of butter, probably too much.
Proceeds from the sale of this scent will benefit the Humane Society of Ventura County to assist in their efforts to help animals affected by the Hill and Woolsey fires.
Goat’s milk, buttermilk, and butter. Lots of butter.
Please note: this perfume is not vegan, as it contains butter CO2 extract.” –https://blackphoenixalchemylab.com/shop/activism/white-larry/
Oil Color: Colorless on my skin.
Bottle Design and Artwork: This is a standard brown apothecary bottle. The label wrapped around the bottle features the name of the company in grey Lombardic-adjacent font along the bottom, just above which is the name of the perfume in white Lombardic-adjacent white font. The name of the collection is centered along the top of the label, in the same grey font as the company name. The label art is as featured below:
- ITB: Holy butter, Batman! Melted Kerry Gold butter drizzled atop Hawaiian rolls with a side of clotted goat cream makes my mouth water. It’s a much more forward and declarative scent than Bread and Butterfly – much less sweet and much more savory.
- Wet: So much butter! Melty goodness with gobs of cream and a touch of buttery rolls. Yum.
- Dry: Two hours later, the scent is still heavy butter with bread tones. The goat’s mlk is very light underneath, but it gives the butter more of a rustic feel. Lots of throw and long wear time.
Other Impressions: “Mmmm, something smells like baking apple pie.” -Random male stranger in front of me at the grocery store.
