Scent Name: C’est ici l’Empire de la Mort
Manufacturer: Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab – Yule 2018: Lilith’s Winter Travelogue – Yuletide with Lilith
Scent Description and Notes: “Our trip to the Catacombs was bittersweet. Lilith was touched by the beauty and poignancy of the experience, but also horrified by the stories of people getting lost underground.
Lilith surrounded by the ghosts of six million Parisians: damp black moss, grey sandalwood chips of bone, and winding sheets of balsam, ambergris, nagarmotha, and frankincense.“ -https://blackphoenixalchemylab.com/shop/in-memoriam/liliths/liliths-winter-travelogue/cest-ici-lempire-de-la-mort-perfume-oil/
Oil Color: The color of chilled champagne.
Bottle Design and Artwork: This is a standard vial / imp size (1/32 oz). This is a decant from Yowahoshihime. On the back, she has the notes of the scent and her decanting name. The front of the label has an image of the label art like below:
- ITI: Dusty, shadowed and cool. Grey sandalwood snakes between black moss, chilly balsam, and flickers of nagarmotha. Nearly hidden underneath is the vaguely sweet ambergris, that quickly disappears back into the shadowy overtones.
- Wet: There’s less bone on my skin, making the just a little warmer, but much of the dusty, shadowed tones of balsam, moss, and nagarmotha remain before the ambergris begins to slink forth, still trepidatious at times.
- Dry: After 8 hours, the scent settled down into what reminds me of a damp woolen coat through faded moss and nagarmotha musk with flecks of forgotten ambergris.
Other Impressions: None.
