Scent Name:  Snow Glass Apples v4

Manufacturer:  Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab –  Event Exclusive Oil: San Diego Comic-Con Exclusive, 7/18/13

Scent Description and Notes: “The apple note is greener and tarter, the snow slightly less snowy. ”  –http://blackphoenixalchemylab.tumblr.com/

Oil Color: – I cannot tell the color of the oil by looking into the brown apothecary bottle.

Bottle Design and Artwork:  This is a 5ml standard brown apothecary bottle.  The label extends just under halfway around the bottom.  The label features the name of the company and tittle of the scent “Snow Glass Apples v4 Prototype for Neil” in black block letters against a sheet of torn notebook paper.

Scent:

  • ITB:  I’m at a disadvantage here since I never smelled the original limited run of Snow Glass Apples, so I won’t be able to compare.  However, unto itself, the scent  features crisp and slightly tart apples with the Lab’s snowy undertones.
  • Wet: The apple note is now bright and crunchy on my skin while still remaining slightly bitter.  The snow is soft and haunting underneath and it seems to be enhanced with just a dab of mint.
  • Dry: After several hours, the snow has seemingly dissipated and been replaced with a soft musk, which surrounds and cradles the now fainter apple note.
Other Impressions: None.

Scent:

  • ITV: Toothpaste, alcohol, and florals.  It’s an odd combination, honestly.
  • Wet: Lily, something that reads as toothpaste still, apple, tuberose, a hint of mandarin, and hyacinth come through on my skin. As it starts to dry, it takes on a powdery quality.
  • Dry: It gets very powdery on me along with slightly fruity and faintly floral.  Beyond that, the scent doesn’t really last for very long.
Other Impressions: “Mhm, it’s already, but I wish it were less powdery.” -Tony
