Oil Color: A marmalade colored oil on my skin.
Bottle Design and Artwork: This is a 5ml standard brown apothecary bottle. The label extends just under halfway around the bottom. The label features the name of the company along the bottom in a black-outlined white block script, mirroring the name of the collaborating store, Dark Delicacies, positioned along the top. The name of the scent is in a larger more ornate black-outlined white font just below the cartoon of a blushing female Krampus adored in red sparkling Christmas accessories against a ballet pin and lace background. The image art is as follows:
- ITB: I was really hoping for non-urinal cake honey, but sadly, it’s the honey note that doesn’t play well with my skin chemistry. To the scent’s credit, I do pick up a dusting of sugar and vanilla cream that is pleasing to the nose when combined with the chiffon-like sandalwood smoke tendrils around the border of the prior notes.
- Wet: The sandalwood and red musk are more distinct on my skin next to that honey note that I so dislike. Ten seconds after application, whiffs of green cognac, tobacco, and leather keep me coming back to this scent in the hones that it shifts to more of a sultry combination than the sugar sweet honey fluff that I smelled in the bottle. And it seems to be delivering. One minute in and ink spills across the scent field, creating images of feverish writing in a worn leather book, fueled by a tobacco and cognac dream.
- Dry: After 12 hours, sadly, the urinal cake honey has asserted its dominance once again, although it has been sweetened over with sugar and vanilla cream with a hint of sandalwood. I think if this particular honey note played better with my skin chemistry, I would be more inclined to keep it.
Other Impressions: None.
