Scent Name: Glowing Vulva at Ryogoku Bridge
Manufacturer: Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab – Lupercalia 2008: Shunga
Scent Description and Notes: “Cream accord, amber, teak, and lotus blossom.” -https://scentbase.com/scents/black-phoenix-alchemy-lab-bpal/glowing-vulva-at-ryogoku-bridge/200809021084
Oil Color: The color of aged cherry brandy.
Bottle Design and Artwork: This is a standard 1/32 ml imp that has been decanted from an original bottle. The label only displays the name of the scent, so I don’t know who originally decanted it. The original label image is as follows below.
- ITI: Fresh, slightly sweetened cream, like clotted cream during high tea, feels brilliantly rounded by a leather-tinted teak wood. Usually, lotus smells like cotton candy to me, but I’m getting none of that so far.
- Wet: Teak steps forward, aromatic and delightfully assertive and leather toned wood, rivaling the playfully sweetened cream note. It evokes images of teak bridges and moments of longing over languid late spring rivers.
- Dry: This scent has gorgeous throw, trailing scent well over 2″ from my skin even after nearly two hours. After four, the scent is still a gorgeous combination of sweetened cream and leather teak, rubbed with a touch of amber incense. Delightful!
Other Impressions: “I’m getting butter, powder, and leather.” -Tony
