Oil Color: An ruddy oil on my skin.
Bottle Design and Artwork: This is a standard 5ml BPAL brown apothecary bottle. The label wrapped around the bottle features the name of the scent in blocky, bolded white letters shadowed in black along the center of the label. The name of the company and collection are situated along the top and the bottom of the label in smaller versions of the same font. The label is as follows:
- ITB: I bought this blind based on the saffron and basil alone. I am not disappointed because this scent is fiery, resinous beauty that reminds me of the sky ablaze with the setting sun. The patchouli, clove and red oudh virtually sing, notes flirting with cinnamon fire, before the saffron and basil thread their way through, helping soothe the bright red notes with a breeze of the familiar and freshly green.
- Wet: It’s still fiery red saffron, clove, oudh, and patchouli, but I’m also getting the pimento more, which I love, before some of the verdant notes of basil and earthiness of mandrake come in, ground the higher notes, and round out the scent as a whole.
- Dry: Two hours later, much of the fire has mellowed to simply an ember glow of pimento, musk, red oudh, and saffron with hints of soft clove and something that borders on a faded, soft earthy down.
Other Impressions: None.
