Scent Name: Venerable, Powerful, Deserving
Manufacturer: Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab – Lilith 2017
Scent Description and Notes: “In a hotel in Baltimore, Lilith helped me color in my sign for the Womens March in DC. She had made her own two signs brimming with Girl Power and featuring a unicorn, of course but finished in time to help me get mine all dolled up.
There are many criticisms of the march that are valid, but I will tell you this: being able to show my daughter thousands upon thousands of people that were demanding a government built on justice, compassion, and acceptance was something incredibly powerful. The experience she had meeting other children who were there in the hopes of a kinder, brighter future was invaluable. It was a pivotal moment, this ability to demonstrate for her /how to show up/ and how to /work/ for a better country and a better future for marginalized and under-represented groups. It was incredible being there in Washington with her, and I will never forget it. I hope this experience helped to reveal her own inner strength to her, and the strength she can find in her allies.
Golden amber, vanilla oudh, and orange blossom.“ -BPAL.org
Oil Color: A brilliantly gilded orange oil on my skin.

The label wrapped around the bottle features the name of the scent in block, white letters along the top of the bottle, while the name of the company is at the bottom in smaller white block font. The name of the collection and year situated just above the company name are in a mint green color. The label art features Lilith making a protest sign.
- ITB: Wow, that’s lovely. The scent is warm and inviting, welcoming you to reminisce amongst the golden amber and faintly woody amber oudh tinged with hints of orange blossom that speak both of innocence and refinement.
- Wet: Mmm, yes, that’s brilliant. If you are a fan of resinous scents, this is one you might consider tracking down. The vanilla oudh and amber skew brilliantly resinous, warm, and alluring, yet the orange blossom keeps the scent from being too bawdy. I want to wrap myself in it.
- Dry: That amber is spectacular, so golden and resinously perfumed, even after 5 hours. The vanilla oudh adds a gentle sweetness to the scent still, but I’d say the amber is star player in this blend. I can see myself reaching for this one frequently.
Other Impressions: “It’s interesting. It reminds me of something Brad has. It’s spicy, but not your standard spicy. I like it!” -Kelly
