Scent Name: Blood Twinkle
Manufacturer: Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab – The Singularity
Scent Description and Notes: “Mildly maniacal: dragon’s blood resin sparkling with shiny pink grapefruit, purple lilac, honeysuckle, white musk, and bergamot.“ -https://blackphoenixalchemylab.com/shop/spring-collection/the-singularity/blood-twinkle-perfume-oil/
Oil Color: A soft, aged lemon pulp color.
Bottle Design and Artwork: This is a standard 1/32 ml imp that has been decanted for me by Absinthetics. Her label features the scent notes on the back along with her decanting information and the scent name. The label art is as follows on the front:
- ITI: What an interesting combination. It’s strongly dragon’s blood resin, but also distinctly floral, both honeysuckle and lilac. Bergamot sews the two scent families together, cradled by a cloud of musk and a spray of pink grapefruit. So far, Blood Twinkle is aptly named.
- Wet: The pink grapefruit is much stronger, crisper, and tarter on my skin next to the honeysuckle-laden dragon’s blood resin. The bergamot hovers just below the more forward notes, mingling gently with the lilac and soft musk. An unusual combination, but pleasing.
- Dry: I’m getting soft dragon’s blood resin, grapefruit, and a touch of honeysuckle. I’m honestly impressed that I can still pick out these notes with this much clarity after 12 hours.
Other Impressions: “It smells like a combination of like a flower shop and orange-oil cleaner.” -Tony
