Manufacturer: Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab – Sin & Salvation
Scent Description and Notes: “Smell sanctified! A blend of pure, pious frankincense and graceful myrrh.“ -https://blackphoenixalchemylab.com/shop/sin-and-salvation/penitence/
Oil Color: A thickly resinous rosewood color.
Bottle Design and Artwork: This is the lab’s vintage 5ml blue apothecary bottle. The label wrapped around the bottle features the name of the company in small black font along the bottom. The name of the sent is placed in much larger font along the top with the words “perfume oil blend” in a smaller, less ornate font directly below it. The entire able is adorned in an ornately Baroque mirror design, the outside in black, the inside an off-white.
- ITB: The myrrh in the bottle has become almost inky in its depth, nearly covering over the frankincense, yet it does not. The frankincense on second sniff is able to push past the depths of the myrrh in its heavenly resinous tones temporarily, before once more giving way to the dark myrrh. I think aging does this blend well!
- Wet: Oh my goodness, yes! That is thick, heavy myrrh wrapped around celestial frankincense in a penitent embrace. This smells like Mass distilled.
- Dry: After 3 hours, the scent is a perfect harmony of rich myrrh and golden frankincense, sweet, resinous, and pure heaven. I’m not sure how I let this one sit without using it, but that’s changing now.
