Name: Elixir IV: Quietude
Manufacturer: Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab – In Memoriam: Panacea
Scent Description and Notes: “Peace, serenity, tranquility, silence.“ -BPAL.org
Oil Color: Colorless on my skin.
Bottle Design and Artwork: This is the lab’s vintage 5ml blue apothecary bottle. The label wrapped around the bottle features the name of the company in small white vertical font on the left-hand side. The name of the sent is placed along the right-hand side in the same fashion, weight, and size. The background of the label is black with a heart stabbed through with three swords, wrapped in a crown of thorns emblazoned on the front.
- ITB: Since there are no scent notes listed, I will try to tease out what I can. Bright, astringent, yet soothing – I’m getting some Spike Lavender that emerges first followed by lemon pulp and maybe lemon verbena and perhaps a tiny sprig of rosemary.
- Wet: It smells like more French Lavender than Spike Lavender once applied, but now it really does smell like lemon verbena and rosemary. It’s much more soothing applied and I can see how this would be a lovely wind-down scent.
- Dry: All the notes mellow some, but it still retains the clarity of lavender and lemon verbena for hours. Nice!
