Oil Color: A thin, faintly yellow oil on my skin.
Bottle Design and Artwork: This is a standard brown apothecary bottle. The label wrapped around the bottle features the phrase “Dragon Marginalia” in small white shadowed block font along the top of the image. The company name is located along in the bottom of the label in similar black block font, while the scent name above that is in larger yellow shadowed block font aligned to the right. The original label art is as follows:
- ITB: Blue musk and cedar layered with tart orange blossom oil and a touch of pepper remind me of cold mornings pre-dawn lake-side. It paints pictures in denim-faded blues under steely skies. Not threatening, rather solitary and cerebral.
- Wet: It still reminds me of waters with its beautifully deep blue musk and cedar. The peppered orange blossom still has that sharpness of the oil rather than the flower hovering just under the musk and cedar. The white musk comes in after this sits for about 30 seconds, but for some reason, it shifts the image in my head from isolated and cold cabin morning skies to something with cedar-perfumed pencil shavings. It’s not bad, honestly, but a bit unexpected.
- Dry: This takes on more of a cedar and dry peppered orris with a streak of subtle orange blossom and faded blue musk 8 hours after application. It feels solitary, but peacefully so.
Other Impressions: “Old Spice and orange liqueur.” -Tony
