Scent Name: Snakes Basking in the First Sunbeams of Spring
Manufacturer: Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab – Serpent Spring
Scent Description and Notes: “Snake Oil, orange blossom, wildflower honey, and cinnamon.” -https://blackphoenixalchemylab.com/product-category/spring-collection/serpent-spring/
Oil Color: Colorless on my skin.
Bottle Design and Artwork: This is a standard brown apothecary bottle. The label wrapped around the bottle features the name of the scent in a bolded orange sherbet block font just above the company name, which is in a smaller version of the a shadowed white version of the name’s font. The label is as follows:
- ITB: It reminds me of a softer, wildflower-infused version of a Hot Toddy infused with a gentle cinnamon. Lovely!
- Wet: Wildflower honey tinged with a lovely, soft, cinnamon atop orange blossoms wafting gently in the breeze. There’s a shy undertone of Snake Oil underneath, but the wildflower honey, cinnamon, and orange blossom notes are the star players at this point and I’m beyond thrilled.
- Dry: Gorgeous honeyed wildflowers, sugared vanilla and orange blossom with a hint of spice. This is a keeper!
Other Impressions: I’m really happy I managed to get a bottle of this one. “Oooh, that is nice. It’s very nice! That reminds me of another one they have. Mmm, that’s very lovely. This reminds me of BPAL’s Rogue but with a little Harlequin Milk with less spice and leather. However, after an hour, they smell identical.” -Kelly
