Scent Name: Squirting Shoggoth
Manufacturer: Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab – The Singularity
Scent Description and Notes: “Camming live from a basement somewhere in Arkham: pear juice, bloops of yuzu fruit, silty oakmoss, and glowing green musk.” -https://blackphoenixalchemylab.com/shop/spring-collection/the-singularity/squirting-shoggoth-perfume-oil/
Oil Color: Colorless on my skin.
Bottle Design and Artwork: This is a standard brown apothecary bottle. The label wrapped around the bottle features the name of the scent in a cartoonist coral outlined font outlined in pale ballet slipper pink aligned to the right. The company’s name is in a thick ballet slipper block fount in a black text box along the bottom. The label art is as follows:
- ITB: Mmmm. That reminds me of tart pears, just like the Jelly Belly pear jelly bean with a bright shock of yuzu through it. There’s something lightly floral there too along the periphery, although I’m not sure if that is coming from the musk or the oakmoss at this point. However, the squirting is aptly named. It makes my mouth water.
- Wet: Ripe, juicy pear and shining yuzu together sing of all things delicious and early summer over a cool almost obscure base of lightly floral oakmoss that reminds me of the forest floor. Oh, this is amazing.
- Dry: It doesn’t have the best longevity as I applied it only 3 hours ago and it’s fizzled down to to vague pear musk with the subtlest spark from the yuzu. I still enjoy it and would certainly pack an imp with me to reapply.
Other Impressions: “Overwhelmingly grapefruit” -Tony
