Scent Name: Christian Dior
Manufacturer: J’Adore
Scent Description and Notes: “J’adore is a modern, glamorous fragrance, which has become incredibly popular, and for that reason developed in number of variants of different concentrations. J’adore is a luminous fragrance. Its opulent, golden scent shimmers on skin like sunbeams. The classic and ambitions of this fragrance reflects in the bottle shaped like Greek amphora. J’adore presents a new conception of Dior feminity, a scent so new and so in line with Dior style at the same time – sweet but balmy, slightly sharp floral with fresh mandarin in the top; jasmine, plum, orchid and rose in the heart; and amaranth, musk and blackberry in the trail. It was created in 1999.
J’adore by Dior is a Floral Fruity fragrance for women. J’adore was launched in 1999. The nose behind this fragrance is Calice Becker. Oil Color: The color of a nice Chablis.
Bottle Design and Artwork: This is a 0.5 Fl Oz. bottle shaped like an egg with a gold nozzle. The cap looks like elongating necklaces worn by the Ndebele and Kayan Lahwi people with a clear bauble on top that makes me think of a head. There is no scent name on the bottle, but the design is distinctive enough.

Scent:
- ITB: Oh, that’s lighter than I expected with pear, magnolia, melon leading the forefront, followed by freesia and a plummed, waxy jasmine. There’s a breath of rose sweetness and tuberose over a refined, womanly musk. I was expecting something more declarative along the lines of Chanel No.5.
- Wet: Yikes, that initial alcohol whiff is pretty intense, but once I get through that, I’m met with an enjoyable combination of pear skin and magnolia leading into mandarin orange, greened freesia, and peachy blackberry with a hint of rose in the back. The greenness here is evocative of springtime, yet there’s also something here that smells like really good shampoo. Not bad!
- Dry: After an hour, I’m pleased that is settles down into a grassing peachy melon infused with vanilla orchid, green freesia, and watery lily over a mature and clean magnolia musk. While fruity and floral, the light green tones and musk turn this into a poised and self-assured blend.
Other Impressions: [Wet] “Nectarine with a hint of red apple skins. It’s ‘aight.” -Tony
