Scent Name: Let Your Indulgence Set You Free
Manufacturer: Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab – Lilith 2018
Scent Description and Notes: “There are several scents this year that are inspired by Lilith’s performance in the Tempest, and this one was born from the triumphant smile on her face as she held the flowers her family brought for her.
A cluster of peonies, carnations, roses, lilies and sweet pea cascading over a bright vanilla smile.” -https://blackphoenixalchemylab.com/shop/limited-edition/lilith-2018/let-your-indulgence-set-me-free/
Oil Color: Colorless.
Bottle Design and Artwork: This is a standard 1/32 ml imp that has been decanted for me by Yowahoshihime. Her label features the scent notes and her decanter information on the back. The front has the name of the scent and company name along with the label art, which is as below:
- ITI: Very sweetly floral swathed in a billowy vanilla tone. The florals themselves strike me as pink and white, light, feminine, and youthful while the lovely watery, almost cool sweet pea note keeps the scent from being too young.
- Wet: Wow, the vanilla, rose, peony, and sweet pea are decidedly well balanced on the skin. While it’s still sweet and feminine, the distinct sense of rose petals and dew-studded sweet pea is just so lovely. I could see this as being a lovely spring or even bridal scent.
- Dry: The lily and peony are stronger as the scent settles, with the vanilla’d-sweet pea both adding subtle sweetness but a coolness that elevates the scent to a wonderful level. Definitely something that I’m going to consider for a bottle purchase.
Other Impressions: “It smells like violet butter. It’s not a bad thing. Violet butter and jasmine, maybe? Violet jasmine butter.” -Tony
