Scent:
- ITB: Oh, I love the sweet breeze of green cognac and cheerful, almost holiday-toned spices over gentle impressions of tobacco and a pinch of opium. I’m not able to discern any chestnut, but what is here is lovely. It’s certainly still green, but less Baba Yaga and more Galadriel.
- Wet: Oh, this is so much nicer than the previous release (no oudh!). It’s sinuously spiced green cognac with undertones of apple set against a sweet patchouli with airy florals and soft tobacco with subtle intonations of chestnut and amber. It really does smell like there is a tart apple note in here though (and I’m thrilled by it).
- Dry: I smell fantastic and I’m positively over the moon with with waves of sweet patchouli and tobacco emanating from me, tinged with delicious florals and a touch of ambered patchouli and cognac. My only qualm is that after 6 hours, the scent needs to be reapplied as a vague incense-y patchouli’d tobacco remains, but it’s so subtle that I wonder if it is just my imagination.
Other Impressions: “Christmas bakery.” -Tony
