Scent Name:  Burberry Brit

Manufacturer:  Burberry

Scent Description and Notes:  “Burberry Brit is a fragrance that keeps the tradition but with a modern sound, it brings the English irony and English dignity. It opens with fresh notes of green lemon, frosted pear and white almond. The heart blooms with white peony. The drydown is very gourmand with vanilla, amber, mahogany and balsamic Tonka bean accords. The fragrance was created by Nathalie Cracia-Getto in 2003.

Oil Color:  The color of a medium-bodied champagne.

Bottle Design and Artwork:  This is a 1.7 Fl Oz. glass bottle shaped in a rigid rectangle with a pleasantly minimalistic cubed cap.  The decoration for me is a white plaid, but other bottles appear as below.  The name only appears in white font along with production location on the bottom.

Scent:

  • ITB:  Yeah, that’s nice.  Peppery green citrus with an herbaceous undertones over sugared almond and soft peony are hitting all the right notes for me right now.
  • Wet:  Oh, that’s neat.  On the skin, I’m getting pear muddled with sugared lime and lemon, touches of almond under a florid white peony rubbed with ambered tonka bean.  There’s a soft warm cinnamon and vanilla-toned mahogany that warms as the scent dries.  Even the alcohol base is quite light.  Granted, this is the Eau de Toilette. Very promising.
  • Dry:  After an hour, I’m getting dewy peony dotted with pear and very light lime, slightly sugared.  There’s a creaminess underneath, which I attribute to the tonka, nuzzled with subtle candied almonds.  Fresh, feminine, and springy.

Other Impressions:  [Wet] “I get like lemongrass up front that quickly fades into a general green-like cut bouquet kind of smell but like lightly scented flowers. Maybe daisies or something? And some powderinesss. There is a woodsy undertone in the back. It’s like holding a bouquet next to a forest.” -Tony
