Scent Name:  Luminous

Manufacturer:  Morari Perfumes – General Catalog

Scent Description and Notes:  “This perfume is not vegan, as it contains beeswax absolute.

Notes: Vanilla-scented beeswax candle, gentle wisps of smoke.

Description: I’ve created a pretty realistic beeswax candle accord, made of beeswax (of course), vanilla CO2, flouve absolute, labdanum, Virginia Cedar, and some other sweet & resinous materials. To get a little bit of smokiness, I’ve added nagarmotha and birch tar. It’s a golden, chewy scent – nutty and sweet but not sugary.” -https://morariperfumes.com/products/luminous-vanilla-beeswax-candle-wisps-of-smoke-not-vegan

Oil Color:  Colorless on the skin.

Bottle Design and Artwork:  This is a 1ml roller ball short bottle from Morari Perfumes. The label features the name of the scent in black block letters on a white label that wraps around the bottle.  The caps screw off and the roller ball makes for easy application, especially for those who have limited mobility (my mother’s comment).  I could not find label art associated with this scent.

Scent:

  • ITI:  Oh, pretty, like exquisite skin musk and sheer peach/cream-colored chiffon trailing sensuous vanilla and a touch of spice.
  • Wet:  Luminous is a husky, smoked sexy wood.  The cedar and birch here seem rubbed with a honeyed vanilla labdanum, sticky sweet and incredibly alluring.  Together, these tones read to my nose like a Lapsang souchong tobacco, but the addition of the vanillic beeswax candle notes alongside the sugar and resin uplift the blend in such a gorgeous way.  This is easily gender neutral, but sensual and slightly dangerous like Desire from the Endless. Wow.
  • Dry: After 5 hours,  Luminous still stunning with a lightly birch-threshed candle wrapped in wisps of vaguely sugared resin and a huff of nuttiness in pale blush shadows.  It’s sweetly balanced, but in the most welcoming skin-musk-but-better way.

Other Impressions:  [Wet] “Tobacco with a hint of like chocolate gluten-free sugar cookie.  It’s like that one brand that we got, that Mexican chocolate sugar cookies shortbread thing.  What are they called? Siete. I like it! I would wear it. It’s lush smelling, too. I like it a lot. It’s aww, yeah; it’s chill.” -Tony
