Oil Color: A pale light peony pink.
Bottle Design and Artwork: The 3.4 oz bottle is clear and faceted, shaped like a rounded pyramid with an Art Deco-like clear stopper. The nozzle and portion along the top are silver and everything else is colorless. The name of the scent is in Vera Wang’s standard front across the front.
Scent:
- ITB: It’s throaty at first, and the alcohol base burns my nose as I try to tease out the floral aspects, which open with a flush of rose, quickly followed by a more stately combination of lily and jasmine-like hues from the cassis. Behind that is the freesia with a welcome citric tone under softly billowing peony. It’s pale and pink, certainly, but approachable.
- Wet: Heavy, musky florals with cassis and lily being the most forward. There is a shimmer of brightness in the back, almost like a citrus that uplifts the scent from the freesia.
- Dry: After 9 hour, a soft freesia alongside slightly green, jasmine-toned cassis softened with flouncy peony and a hint of lychee remain on the skin. It still feels like a floral musk, but it’s pleasant and well-suited for daytime wear.
Other Impressions: [Wet] “Latex paint. (Me: I think it’s more floral than that.) It’s wet latex paint.” -Tony
