Scent Name: Worm Moon 2021
Manufacturer: Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab – A Little Lunacy: March/April 2021
Scent Description and Notes: “Named for the awakening of frogs after a long winter, this scent is a springtime chorus of trills and croaks celebrating the beginning of our own slow emergence from the pandemic hibernaculum. A pattering deluge of refreshing, enlivening, bright green notes: green tea, wet green musk, pine moss, fresh patchouli leaf, bamboo leaf, tulsi, pond grasses, and a pinch of wasabi.” -https://blackphoenixalchemylab.com/shop/a-little-lunacy-limited-edition/frog-moon-2021-perfume-oil/
Oil Color: A cheery yellow oil on my skin.

Scent:
- ITI: The whole reason I splurged for a bottle was because of the wasabi note. I adore Velvet Cthulhu because of its unexpected, unsettling green spiciness. This one contain that delicious wasabi, but it’s only a subtle flourish behind the scent of green tea, tulsi, lushly shaded grasses, faint moss, and fresh patchouli leaf. There’s something vaguely reminiscent of the root beef-flavored Neco Wafers, but I’m not adverse to that at all.
- Wet: It starts off with than blue-green tone that speaks of ponds surrounded by grasses and bamboo, then and waivers between that, an Irish Spring soapiness, and a patchouli leaf, wasabi-tinted with a very faint lemon. This is definitely more of a freshly swampy and aquatically green blend. I’m intrigued.
- Dry: Mmm, that settles into a green patchouli moss over a delightfully green, tulsi, and bamboo tones over green musk. Winning!
Other Impressions: [Wet] “It smells like a Thai fruit salad, like dragon fruits, mangosteen, lychee. I’m smelling those kinds of fruits.” -Tony
