Oil Color: The color of a dilute honey lozenge.
Bottle Design and Artwork: This is a 1/32 imp decant from Ajevie. The label features the year and the company name across the font in large burgundy and purple font. The back of the label has the company name and scent notes in small black font, while the name of the scent is above that in larger stylized black font. The bottle appears as follows (far left):
- ITI: Oh yeah, that’s lemon balm right there – bright, almost screechy and herbal. It smells just like when you rub the plant’s leaves. Perhaps there’s a smidge of lemon peel behind the lemon balm, but it’s almost all balm in the imp.
- Wet: Yep, more lemon balm and light lemon peel. I am picking up a very subtle undertone of tea tree and perhaps just a touch of mint. I’m hoping that the other notes will warm and emerge after this settles on the skin, but it’s very herbal forward citrus.
- Dry: 6 hours, the lemon balsam is still present, although it’s not nearly as screechy and assertive. The scent has taken on a bracing citrusy herbal tone touched with a sliver of mint tea over sweetened copaiba balsam resin and a suggestion of tea tree and resin. This is much more wearable now that it has softened on the skin. This one has some impressive longevity, too. After 12 hours, I woke up with the scent still on my skin, although it has softened considerably into an airy but largely nondescript resin.
Other Impressions: Holy lemon! Or lemon balm. That’s…intense. However, after a little, it smells like benzoin and Vick’s Vapor Rub.
